Fan favourite Kenji Kishimoto narrates this fourth novella in Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me companion series. Readers are reeling from the shocking discoveries in Defy Me and begging for clarification. Before the last novel in the Shatter Me series is released in the winter of 2020, readers can return to that world with this fourth and final novella. Find Me, the stunning paperback bind-up that, for the first time, collects Shadow Me and Reveal Me, is not to be missed.

Tahereh Mafi, the Author Bio

Both the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists feature Tahereh Mafi’s Shatter Me trilogy as a top seller. She relocated to Santa Monica, California, with her husband, the author Ransom Riggs, from a little hamlet in Connecticut. Her nose is usually buried in a book, and she usually has too much coffee in her system. Her first middle grade book, Shatter Me, is currently in stores, and its darker sibling, Whichwood, will follow soon. ABC Signature Studios has optioned the television rights to her show.

Book Summary: Reveal Me

Wow. Okay, where to even begin. Kenji is, without a doubt, one of my all-time favourite fictional characters. Totally unadulterated. For him, nothing less than the greatest will do. His perspective added so much to the story. That book has made me long for more like it in the rest of the series. More Nazeer, please. Her anonymity is intriguing. That. Cliffhanger. Wow, that’s inconsiderate. I guess there’s nothing else I can say without giving anything away. Imagine Me had me on the edge of my seat. I am such a dope for kenji, I swear to God. This guy… I mean, Warner and Juliette are great, but Kenji and Nazeera are the best. Both of these short novels are easily five stars.

Storyline & In Shadow Me, Kenji is torn between his duties as a leader of the resistance against the Reestablishment and his friendship with Juliette, who is still hurting from Warner’s treachery. The appearance of a mysterious figure from Omega Point’s history raises the stakes even further. Before the final novel in the Shatter Me series is released in 2020, readers can spend one last evening in that world with the fourth novella.

Lots of people seem to think it didn’t really capture Kenji’s personality, but I thought it was great. Kenji is only known to us as a comic relief figure since we’ve read the entire series from juliette’s point of view, and occasionally from warner’s and the skip fire that was Adam Kent’s. But because of this, he feels he has no choice but to rejoice for everyone else and be the solution to their issues. In this novella, Kenji expresses his belief that his very existence depends on the support of those around him. I felt the novella was great, and the character growth was excellent, despite the fact that the protagonist’s predicament could hardly have been worse.

Conclusion

Kenji is the greatest, and I adore him. When reading from his point of view, there are several instances where I found myself saying, “Wow, is that me?” Personally, I enjoy his character the most. Please don’t yell at me because everyone knows how much I adore Warnette.

This was an extremely short book. I wasted an hour and a half on it because I couldn’t focus. Not only does it serve as a satisfying bridge between novels, but it also does an excellent job of providing a more in-depth look at such a beloved character and preparing the reader for the conclusion of the series. I really must have Imagine Me!! There’s little question that Tahereh will utterly decimate me in the grand finale.
