In preparation for the two-year A&P programme.

Providing students with the tools they need to thrive in the 21st century, in A&P and beyond Bestselling authors Elaine Marieb and Katja Hoehn’s Human Anatomy & Physiology provides students of all experience levels with the inspiration and guidance they need to master the subject and go on to achieve academic and professional success in the twenty-first century. Chapter by chapter, students are led through the process of learning the A&P jargon, practising it in clinical settings, and developing the critical thinking and problem-solving abilities necessary for admission to nursing, allied health, and exercise science programmes.

Human Anatomy & Physiology has been revered by students and professionals alike since its first publication for its conversational tone, clear illustrations, and insightful clinical perspectives. This text is utilised by more schools than any other A&P product, and the authors’ history of innovation continues in the 11th Edition by expanding on that foundation while also addressing the most effective methods kids learn. More summary tables and Focus Figures bring attention to key details and processes, and more self-assessment questions give students more opportunities to actively learn and apply critical thinking skills. Unique chapter-opening road maps help students keep sight of “big picture” concepts for organising information.

End-of-chapter Clinical Case Studies have been completely revised to include new NCLEX-Style questions, and Career Connection Videos and Homeostatic Imbalance discussions have been brought up to date to better prepare students for future opportunities in the healthcare industry. Modern students will find that the new Interactive Physiology 2.0 lessons, Focus Figure Mini-Animations, and customised Practise Anatomy Lab (PAL) 3.1 Flashcards in Mastering A&P provide a seamless learning experience that complements Human Anatomy & Physiology.

Human Anatomy & Physiology Book Summary

This book was incredibly nicely put together, especially taking into consideration the large quantity of information that it contains. Having said that, going through it wasn’t exactly a breeze to read. For someone who was just starting out, it was a little difficult to keep track of all the different acronyms, but I can see why they are important.
