Neem Karoli Baba Miracles

Here we share stories about Neem Karoli Baba’s miracles with you.

Once upon a time the Ganges and Yamuna rivers had a devastating flood in Allahabad. The flood had been so devastating that it damaged even the Allahabad fort. On the banks of the River Ganges, the Hanuman Mandir was in danger of washing the whole Mandir away.

Everyone was worried about Pujari. The Defense Minister, Dr. Katju, who was in Allahabad, was approached. “What the army can do?” he said. Now the temple can only be saved by Lord Hanuman. Hanuman is Neem Karoli Baba. He could do that.” He can.

Baba Ji arrived in Jeep during this conversation. “What’s the issue, he said? Then All of the priests came to Baba Ji and expressed their concerns about the temple’s future.

Karoli Neem Baba walked over to the river and drank from it. “It will go; it will go,” he continued as he gulped the water. The Ganges River receded within three days, saving the temple. There were numerous occasions when Baba Ji was in two places at the same time.

Another Miracle of Neem Karoli Baba

In 1958, Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Baba Lakshman Das (sometimes written “Laxman Das”), left his home. Baba Lakshman Das boarded a train without a ticket, and the conductor decided to stop the train and force Neem Karoli Baba off in the village of Neem Karoli in Farrukhabad district, according to Ram Dass (U.P). The conductor discovered that the train would not start again after boarding Baba. After repeated failed attempts to start the train, the conductor was advised to allow the sadhu back on board. Neem Karoli decided to board the train on two conditions: 1) the railway company promised to establish a station in Neem Karoli’s hamlet (villagers had to trek many miles to the nearest station at the time), and 2) the railway company promised to treat sadhus better in the future. “What, is it up to me to start trains?” joked Neem Karoli Baba as he boarded the train with the officials. The train started right after he boarded, but the train drivers refused to move forward unless the sadhu gave them permission. The train continued after Baba extended his blessings. The community of Neem Karoli later got a railroad station. Baba spent some time in the village of Neem Karoli, where he was given the name Baba by the inhabitants.

Following that, he travelled widely over Northern India. He was known by various aliases during this time, including Lakshman Das, Handi Wallah Baba, and Tikonia Wallah Baba. Tallaiya Baba was his name while he conducted tapasya and sadhana in Vavania Morbi, Gujarat. Chamatkari Baba was the appellation given to him by the locals in Vrindavan (“miracle baba”). During his lifetime, he established two major ashrams, the first in Vrindavan and the second in Kainchi, where he spent the summer months. Over 100 temples were built in his honour over time.
